Contact UsOur helpers are personally interviewed by our staff, and they must go through various stringent screenings to be handpicked for employment in Singapore. We visit the training centres, and screen them to make sure that they meet the preliminary physical, mental and attitude requirements set by our agents, and only those applicants that can match up to the standards set by us and the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore (MOM) will be shortlisted.
Shortlisted helpers will go through the training programmes in the designated training centres. It is here that those with undesirable work attitude and poor learning capabilities will be disqualified. Essentially, only qualified candidates will be offered a job in Singapore.
The Settling-In Programme (SIP) is only applicable to helpers who have not worked in Singapore previously. They are required to attend SIP within 3 days of arrival, excluding Sundays and public holidays. The SIP is a one-day programme designed to orientate first-time helpers to working and living in Singapore.
The SIP will consist of five modules, including:
The SIP is conducted in the helper’s native language to maximize understanding and retention.
Yes, if this is your first time to employ a helper.
The helper must undergo and pass a medical examination by a Singapore registered doctor within 14 days of arrival (including Sunday/Public Holidays) in Singapore. The Work Permit will only be issued if the worker passes the medical examination. Helpers who are unable to pass the medical examination, which includes those who have been diagnosed with active pulmonary Tuberculosis and/or HIV will have to be repatriated.
Employers are required to take care of their MDW medical expenses in Singapore by providing them with adequate insurance coverage. This is compulsory before a work permit can be issued by MOM. The insurance policy requires the MDW to be covered with a minimum sum of S$60,000 per year (starting July 2023) for hospitalization claim. The sum is in line with the new hospitalization subsidy regulation. It is also compulsory for employers to take up a Personal Accident Insurance policy for their MDWs before they can employ them. The minimum sum assured should be S$60,000. Nevertheless, we would advise employers to upgrade the MDW insurance policy to an even better coverage to meet higher-than-expected bills arising from the MDW hospitalization expenses.
You are eligible to hire a second Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW) if you have any of these family members living with you:
We will always do our upmost to try to match you with the most suitable Helper. Inevitably, some qualified helpers may not be suitable for employers due to personality or compatibility issues. In such instances, we provide counselling services to the helpers and advisory service to the employers. After the necessary assessment, if the existing helper needs to be transferred, we will provide the replacement as soon as possible, if the helper was selected through our database.
Yes, the employer can repatriate the helper without going through the agency if such action does not breach any of the clauses in the service agreement between the employer and the agency. However, we strongly advise the employer to repatriate the helper via Blessed Helpers, so that we could discharge your responsibilities (if any) to protect your interest.
